Free Online Whiteboard

HTMLSuite's whiteboard is a free drawing board that runs in your browser. Use it to sketch ideas, brainstorm with sticky notes, draw diagrams and flowcharts, explain things while teaching or plan a project — then export it or share a link.

Draw and brainstorm online

The toolbar on the left has everything you need for visual thinking. The Pen draws freehand lines, Text adds labels and headings, and Shape draws rectangles, circles and diamonds. Sticky notes are perfect for brainstorming: place one per idea, then drag them into groups. Arrows snap to shapes and stay connected when you move things, so diagrams stay readable as they grow.

Pick a color from the bar at the top of the board, select several items to move them together, and use undo and redo freely — nothing is final until you are happy with it.

No download required

The whiteboard works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Chromebooks, tablets and phones. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Your board is saved automatically in your browser on this device, so you can close the tab and continue later. Images you add stay on your device; they are not uploaded.

Whiteboard for teaching and tutoring

Teachers and tutors can share their screen and use the board like a classroom whiteboard — write a problem, draw a diagram, highlight the important step in a different color. Prepare boards before a lesson, export them as PDF handouts, or send students a link to a copy. Students can use the same tools for notes, revision mind maps and group projects.

Create mind maps and flowcharts

Start from a template in the sidebar: a Mind Map for exploring a topic, Brainstorming sticky notes, a Flowchart for processes and decisions, a Weekly Plan or a Kanban Board for tracking work. Every template is a normal board: change the text, add shapes and rearrange anything.

Export your whiteboard

Use Export to download the board as a PNG image for slides and documents, or as a PDF for printing and handouts. Save board file keeps an editable copy you can open again later, and Share creates a link that contains a copy of the board — nothing is stored on a server.

Need colors for your diagrams? The color palette generator builds matching schemes, and the image color picker takes colors from a photo. For notes without drawings, try the online notepad.

Frequently asked questions

What is an online whiteboard?
An online whiteboard is a drawing surface in your browser. Like a real whiteboard you can sketch, write and stick notes on it — but the board is infinite, you can undo mistakes, move everything around and export or share the result.
Is the HTMLSuite online whiteboard free?
Yes. All drawing tools, templates, image upload and PNG/PDF export are free to use, without limits on the number of boards you start.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page and start drawing. Your board is saved automatically in your browser on this device, so it is still there when you come back.
Can I use the whiteboard for teaching?
Yes. Teachers and tutors use it to explain ideas step by step, draw diagrams during online lessons and prepare boards in advance. Students can use it for notes, mind maps and group planning.
Can I create mind maps?
Yes. Start from the Mind Map template or draw your own with shapes and arrows. Arrows stay connected to the shapes they point to when you move them, which keeps mind maps and flowcharts tidy.
Can I upload images?
Yes. Choose the Image tool to add a picture from your device, or paste one from the clipboard. Images are added to your board in your browser and are not uploaded to a server.
Can I export my whiteboard?
Yes. Export the whole board as a PNG image or as a PDF, or save a board file that you can open again later with “Open board file”.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The whiteboard works on phones and tablets with touch: draw with your finger or a stylus, pinch to zoom and drag with the Hand tool to move around. A larger screen is more comfortable for big boards.
